APARC, the official Australian distributor for Smart Parking, have won the supply, installation, and maintenance of another 150 sensors for the City of South Perth. This win means that the product punches well above its weight in terms of reliability and quality, and is by far the best sensor technology in the country (APARC founder Phillip Verity wouldn’t have taken on the product if it wasn’t the Rolls Royce of sensors).
The adoption of sensor technology is becoming a fast-growing industry, as more and more councils realise it’s the “keys to the kingdom” when it comes to occupancy, parking guidance and revenue. In particular, revenue can increase as much as 400%, with less parking patrol officers in the field. Without a doubt, sensor technology is future proofing the way councils enforce parking now and in years to come.
